Scab

Suffering at times
Is necessary
Not all suffering's
A necessity

It's a scab that you pick
That bleeds and bleeds
If you leave it be
Maybe you would see

The wound you suffer
It wants to heal
Though you earned it
and loved it
When getting it

The act that committed
It's cause to curdle
Meant to be the end

Of the pleasure that
Found its way to a wound
You pick and pick and pick

Let it heal
And leave it be
There will be other wounds
Joyfully earned
Not the joy that you suffer
But picking
And picking
And picking
And picking
The scab that you pick
You should leave it be
The scab that you pick
You should leave it be
