Don't Forget To Feel

Let's not arrive
at the end... sleeping
Disenchanted, disconnected
and so numb

Just don't forget to feel

So you're feeling less than perfect
at least you feel alive
A tremor deeper than the surface
It can serve you fine

Just don't forget to feel

Kill the artist before he leaves his bed
Far too much trouble-all those thoughts in his head
Can't be bothered, not got the time to waste
   Spoonfed-junkie-suffered-children...
for drapes of gold 'bout your chest

Who'll paint the skies, if not by numbers
if all we leave them is grey
The windows closing on this bleak December
yet I won't close the shade

Just don't forget to feel
